Which is Best Mobile Operating System (Part 2)

As written at the end of first part, in the second part we will take a look at the “Symbian Vs Java” and also we will discuss the “Android” operatong system. We shall now resume our discussion and elaborate on what the masses believe is going to set the road map for current and upcoming mobile phones operating system and of-course you can toss your opinion at the end, we always look forward to what our users have to say.

Symbian (Java Vs Symbian)

Symbian is basically Nokia’s personal operating system. But it has also been used by other companies in their devices by signing various deals with Nokia. These companies include Samsung, Motorola, at&t and some others. Symbian has gained much more popularity than java in comparatively lesser time. And now normally people having a little or more knowhow of operating systems prefer symbian over java. The reason behind this fact is that nowadays applications developed for symbian enabled phones are much advanced and efficient than java applications. Moreover, java applications can run on symbian phones but  java phones do not support symbian applications. Besides the fact that symbian is a bit better than java, according to 2010 statistics of the operating systems most used by mobile developers, Java was on 3rd and Symbian was on 4th position. This was due to the fact that java is a free operating system and symbian is not. Because of the decreasing prices of Android phones, popularity of symbian is decreasing.

Android

Apart from internet software applications and social networks Google has also stepped into mobile applications by developing an operating system for mobile phones by the name of Android. It has gained immense popularity among mobile developers. At present it is the most powerful and recommended operating system in the mobile world. HTC, Samsung, Nokia and many other mobile manufacturing companies are making Android based devices. According to 2010 final statistics Android topped the list of operating systems which were selected by mobile developers for their devices. Recently Zong has also launched its latest handset based on the powerful Android 2.2.

In the last and third part of this topic we will look at the Windows, Bada and iOS.
