Two New Handsets Blackberry L & N will Soon be Hitting the Shelves

We all know that RIM (Research in Motion) has currently become one of those companies who are looking for new and amazing products that will bring their old fame back to them. As we already know that the company is currently developing the BlackBerry 10 update, which will try to offer all of that. Basically, RIM will try to revamp its entire BlackBerry platform with BlackBerry 10 and it will also introduce some brand new devices as well.

Blackberry L & N Series

Previously, it was reported that RIM is preparing to bring BlackBerry London and BlackBerry Nevada handsets but now, according to a leaked slide, it seems like RIM has renamed them toBlackBerry L and N series.

Between the two, BlackBerry L series will arrive first and the smartphones in these lineups will be similar to the current generation of latest smartphones. It means that they won’t be bringing any physical keyboards and offer a complete touch interface. According to the leaked slide, handsets in L series will feature 768 x 1280 pixel resolution55mm wide body and 356ppi screen density.

Blackberry N

On the other hand, the handsets in BlackBerry N series will look like the current Blackberry handsets in Bold series. Those handsets will feature a square display screen and of course thephysical QWERTY keyboard. So, these new Bold handsets will have screen resolution of 720 x 720 pixels, 52 – 53 mm wide body and screen density of 330ppi.

We are definitely looking forward for the both smartphone lineups from RIM but of course the smartphones in the L series will be the ones that are going to be highly anticipate. This will definitely begin a new era for the Canadian based manufacturer, as in the current times they have started to lose their customers to the Android and iOS platform.

Release Date

According to the same leaked document, RIM is working very hard to develop these handsets and then release them to the market as soon as possible. It means that the smartphones in L series will be hitting the shelves in the first half of September while the N series is expected to arrive in Q1 2013.
