Untethered Jailbreak For Latest iOS 5 In Few Simple Steps

Here is what every enthusiast of jailbreaking was waiting for. An eminent member of the jailbreak community has uploaded a video in which he has showed us the untethered jailbreak for the latest iOS 5. Some of its details and also the video is posted below:

ios 5 pwned

We have received this news directly from a respected hacker of iPhone, named as pod2g and also he is the one who discovered exploits, we have received it from its twitter account along a link of YouTube video with it, in which untethered jailbreak of iOS 5 is shown.

The tweet is as follows:

iphone jailbreak

100% Working

At this time we are unable to receive any information about this untethered jailbreak but one thing that we can say is that it really works for iOS 5, not 5.0.1 yet. As we can see in the video that it is working on the iPod touch so we cannot say about its working on other devices like non-jailbroken iPad 2 and iPhone 4S but as soon we get the information about this we will update you.

Nothing has been mentioned by the Pod2g that which exploits this untethered jailbreak, but according to us it is somehow related with the bug that he discovered on November 7 and he had also claimed that it could untether iOS 5.

The major advantage of this untethered jailbreak is that the user is allowed to restart its iOS device into jailbroken state without connecting its device to PC. So, except waiting we cannot do anything else and till then we have to use the Redsn0w or Snowbreeze. After this you should also install Semi-tether package with the help of which you can restart your device but only with limited functionality till you get to your PC.

Here is the video that has been posted by pod2g:

You will have to be patient because at this time we are not having any particular details about this untethered jailbreak.

In the meantime kindly keep sending the crash reports to Chronic Dev-team instead of Apple so that they can make other interesting and helpful jailbreak for us.
